Courvoisier L’edition Imperiale

On January 16, Paul Baron, vice president, marketing, Kraft International Marketing, Inc., and Dana Kline, sales and marketing consultant, announced the March launch of a new fragrance for men—Courvoisier L’edition Imperiale. The Courvoisier name has long been associated with tradition and heritage, first as the supplier of Courvoisier cognac to Napoleon and subsequently as purveyor to the royal courts of England, Sweden and Denmark.

The fragrance is designed for fashion-conscious urban men who value exclusivity, enjoy glamour, and work and play hard. The fragrance has top notes of cardamom, mandarin and coriander; mid notes of cedarwood, smoked tea, calla lily and violet; and base notes of vetiver, fir balsam, leather and warm amber. It will be available at Bergdorf Goodman and Nordstrom locations. Additional plans are underway for an aftershave balm, aftershave splash and deodorant.

Kraft International Marketing, Inc. purchased the Courvoisier license three years ago, recognizing its potential as a prestige fragrance brand. The fragrance, which had its European launch in Cannes in October 2006, was created by Mane, and is presented in a custom molded glass bottle by Luigi Bormioli.
