Luxe Pack New York Announces Seminar Schedule

Luxe Pack New York announced its 2010 seminars, all of which will be held May 19–20 at the Lower Level of the Altman Building and are complimentary with show admission.

Among the highlights:

Marc Rosen will present "Designing For The New Reality—The Sobering Effects of the Recession.” The tract will explore how today's consumer decisions have become less emotional and based more on need. Panelists include Matthew Frost, director global fine fragrance, IFF; Debra Leipman-Yale, president, Arcade Marketing; and Ruth Sutcliffe, senior marketing director and fragrance designer, Coty, LLC.

The panel for “The Future of Sustainable Packaging in the Beauty Industry: Products and Practices” will include John Delfausse, vice president global package development and chief environmental officer, Estée Lauder Corporate Packaging and a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition. In “A Global Overview for the Luxury Goods Market and the Role of Packaging,” Fflur Roberts, industry manager, Euromonitor, examines luxury goods market drivers, luxury goods consumer drivers, luxury goods key markets, luxury goods future outlook, examples of key trends in luxury and how these follow through to packaging. Also, Roberts will discuss future trends likely to be seen in luxury packaging.

In “What New in Sustainable Packaging from Exhibitors,” moderated by Jeff Falk, senior editor, GCI magazine, Koert Bruins, president, Iggesund Paperboard US; Sheherazade Chamlou, vice president sales and marketing, SGD North America; David Gabriel Lunati, director of marketing, Monadnock Paper Mills; Mark Ormiston, director of research and development, Anomatic Corporation; Laura A. Rowell, director, sustainable packaging, MWV; will discuss their companies' sustainable efforts.
