Shiseido Americas Names New E-commerce VP, Creates New Department

Shiseido Americas Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Tokyo-based Shiseido Co. Ltd., announced the appointment of Jeanette Garner as vice president, e-commerce.

Garner will lead a newly created e-commerce department for the company, which will combine the existing global e-commerce functions for SAC’s Nars and Shiseido brands. In this role, she will develop the company’s overall e-commerce strategy and manage the e-commerce businesses for both brands including online marketing, merchandising and site operations. The shared e-commerce department will ensure all e-commerce projects support brand strategies and contribute to dot com growth while leveraging the needs of a multibrand e-commerce focused structure.

Announcing the appointment, Pankaj Gupta, executive vice president, finance and operations and regional CFO, said, “Jeanette joins SAC with the ideal combination of expertise in e-commerce development and prestige beauty. She will be a great addition to our team as we continue to amplify our e-commerce initiatives and accelerate our businesses in this very dynamic area.”

Garner joins SAC from the Lancôme division of L’Oréal USA, where she was the vice president, head of e-commerce/interactive marketing at Lancôme-usa.com. Previously, she served as director of merchandising, Internet and catalogue, for beauty at Victoria’s Secret Direct and held management position at both Macys.com and Saks Direct also in the beauty category.
