Shiseido Americas Names New E-commerce VP, Creates New Department

Shiseido Americas Corporation, the U.S. subsidiary of Tokyo-based Shiseido Co. Ltd., announced the appointment of Jeanette Garner as vice president, e-commerce.

Garner will lead a newly created e-commerce department for the company, which will combine the existing global e-commerce functions for SAC’s Nars and Shiseido brands. In this role, she will develop the company’s overall e-commerce strategy and manage the e-commerce businesses for both brands including online marketing, merchandising and site operations. The shared e-commerce department will ensure all e-commerce projects support brand strategies and contribute to dot com growth while leveraging the needs of a multibrand e-commerce focused structure.

Announcing the appointment, Pankaj Gupta, executive vice president, finance and operations and regional CFO, said, “Jeanette joins SAC with the ideal combination of expertise in e-commerce development and prestige beauty. She will be a great addition to our team as we continue to amplify our e-commerce initiatives and accelerate our businesses in this very dynamic area.”

Garner joins SAC from the Lancôme division of L’Oréal USA, where she was the vice president, head of e-commerce/interactive marketing at Lancô Previously, she served as director of merchandising, Internet and catalogue, for beauty at Victoria’s Secret Direct and held management position at both and Saks Direct also in the beauty category.
