Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) has announced the finalists for its 2010 CEW Beauty Awards. Now in its 16th year, the CEW Beauty Awards celebrate some of the most innovative products of the year, and the finalists were chosen from more than 550 products from nearly 300 top brands.
The CEW Beauty Awards are one of the only awards programs where the finalists are chosen exclusively by beauty insiders, and the roster of finalists, voted on by more than 3,500 professionals in the field, has become a consumer-coveted shopping list. “Consumers know that all finalist products have been field-tested and approved by CEW members. Year after year, these products are what consumers seek out to address their needs,” says Carlotta Jacobson, president of CEW.
The CEW board of governors now vote on the 155 finalists to determine the winners across 31 categories. The winners will be announced at the CEW Beauty Awards luncheon on Friday, May 21, at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York City. Comedian and actor Mario Cantone will emcee the event again this year.

In addition to bestowing honors on the best products of the year, the CEW Beauty Awards will announce the winner of the Indie Beauty Award, which recognizes the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of a small, independent beauty company. Stay tuned for this year’s Indie Beauty Award finalists, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
