While consumer trust is critical in beauty marketing, so is building buzz. Recently, YouGov BrandIndex surveyed hair and skin care consumers by asking, “If you've heard anything about the brand in the last two weeks, through advertising, news or word of mouth, was it positive or negative?”

YouGov assigned brands scores from 100 to -100, with a 0 score indicating equal levels of positive and negative feedback,
