New Lipoaminoacid Surface Treatment

U.S. Cosmetics Corporation has introduced a series of Lipoaminoacid-treated pigments for use in color cosmetics. The patented, chemically bonded surface treatment is based on a combination of palmitoyl proline and other amino acids. Powder products made from these pigments and substrates exhibit, according to the company, excellent spreadability and uniformity compared to other surface treated materials, as well as very good skin adhesion. Substrates available with the treatment include talc, sericite, mica, titanium dioxide and iron oxides.
