The Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors (ICMAD) held its annual meeting and election of the board—as well as the CITY Awards Dinner for Cosmetic Innovators of The Year—at New York’s Tavern on the Green. Penni Jones, executive director, ICMAD, welcomed attendees, noting that ICMAD was celebrating its 33rd year. Outgoing president Karen Acker acknowledged two wonderful years of working with ICMAD, and passed the baton to incoming president David Schieffelin, noting, “Small companies are the life blood of this industry.”
In addition to the new president, Acker welcomed Carl Geffken and Pamela Viglielmo, as vice presidents; Howard Baker, treasurer; Sharon Blinkoff, secretary; and Stan Katz and Marva Kalish, who will continue in their roles as chair and vice chair, respectively.
