International Specialty Products (ISP) has appointed Hani Fares, PhD, as senior director of personal care, effective June 2, 2008. In his new role, Fares assumes several key responsibilities: technical interface with key customers, with a focus on new products and research directions; technical leader on the company’s key account team; head of the global applications skin care group; and a technical liaison in oral care research.

Before joining ISP, Fares spent seven years at L’Oréal Recherche, where he held several positions, most recently as assistant vice president of R&D for skin care. Fares also worked on dermatological and oral health care research for 10 years at GlaxoSmithKline. He also participated in numerous patent applications and has published extensively in dermatological and oral care research. Fares earned his doctorate in pharmaceutical science at Rutgers University.
