Avon Beauty Sales Drop 17% in Second Quarter 2015

Avon has reported that its second quarter 2015 revenue dropped 17% to $1.8 billion, with operating profit reaching $92 million. Beauty sales declined 17%, but increased 1% in constant dollars.

Growth was led by Europe (particularly Russia), the Middle East and Africa, and Latin America. North American results declined and the region's active representatives dropped 2% year-over-year during the same period. Average orders for the second quarter were up 2%.

Avon recently divested its Liz Earle Beauty Co. Ltd. brand for about $215 million.
