LVMH Q1 2024 Beauty & Sephora Results Outshine the Rest of the Business

While LVMH recorded organic revenue growth of 3% across all its business units for Q1 2024, the perfumes and cosmetics sector jumped 7% in organic growth (versus 3% reported growth), totaling 2,182 million euros.

Sephora continues to be a powerhouse, spiking selective retail sales by 11% (organic), totaling $4,175 million.

Highlights in the perfume and cosmetics sector included Christian Dior's Sauvage, J’adore and Miss Dior in fragrance, as well as Rouge Dior in makeup and Capture in skin care.

Guerlain also performed well, particularly with its Aqua Allegoria fragrances, including the Florabloom variant, as well as the Abeille Royale creams and Terracotta in makeup.

Parfums Givenchy's L’Interdit fragrance was another top performer, while Maison Francis Kurkdjian "posted solid growth, driven in particular by its iconic Baccarat Rouge 540," per LVMH.

Meanwhile, LVMH noted that "Sephora once again achieved remarkable growth, continuing to gain market share."

Recently, Piper Sandler reported that Sephora is gaining on Ulta with teenage shoppers in the United States.
