As the Coty family mourns the loss of actor Paul Walker, who also served as a spokesman for the company's Davidoff Cool Water fragrance and an ambassador for its National Geographic “Love the Ocean” initiative, the company announced it is revising its advertising strategy for the fragrance. Out of respect for Walker and his family, Coty has put all its advertising campaigns featuring Walker on hold. The company also recommitted to working with the people and the causes he cared about.
“We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul’s family, friends and fans around the world,” said CEO Michele Scannavini.
At the request of Walker's family, in lieu of flowers and other gifts, Coty is encouraging anyone interested in expressing their condolences to do so by making a donation to Walker's charity Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW).
