Cosmetics Europe Names New Director-General

Cosmetics Europe (Brussels) has named John Chave as director-general, beginning July 1.

Chave has been secretary general of the PGEU, the European association representing pharmacists and pharmacy owners, since 2006.

He initially practiced law in London, and then in Brussels where he specialized in health-related law, commercial law and E.U. law before moving to PGEU to focus on EU issues and policy.

“John Chave brings an excellent track record of association management and strong membership relations to Cosmetics Europe," said Loïc Armand, president of Cosmetics Europe. "We are confident his experience will help us to further our mission of being an established partner for stakeholders through the active engagement of our members and staff. It is Cosmetics Europe shared goal to earn and preserve consumers’ trust by ensuring the quality, reliability and safety of our products and we look forward to the future.”
