Nu Skin Partners with Pharma Company

Posted: August 1, 2008

Nu Skin and Toyo Bio-Pharma have collaborated for a new R&D relationship. NU Toyo Research will combine the companies' scientific insights and regulatory knowledge. Toyo Bio-Pharma is a subsidiary of Toyo Shinyaku, a Japan-based supplement and skin care manufacturer.

NU Toyo Research, based in the U.S., will offer new nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products resulting from the collaboration. These will then be sold by Nu Skin through its worldwide distribution network. The direct selling firm recently announced expansion plans in Asia with new product launches and distribution initiatives.

Through the collaboration, Toyo Bio-Pharma will gain information on the cosmetic market. Nu Skin will benefit by learning more about the Japanese market and its regulatory requirements.
