Fenty Beauty is coming to Mainland China April 1, 2024 via Sephora stores. The brand entered the Hong Kong market four years ago.
In its latest financial report, parent company LVMH noted, "Fenty Beauty posted robust growth, driven in particular by one of its latest innovations in mascara."
While China has been a challenged market, particularly for multinationals like The Estee Lauder Companies, LVMH depends on the market for growth.
As The Wall Street Journal recently noted, "The country’s economy is sputtering and geopolitical tensions are rising, but Chinese shoppers are the growth engine for the maker of Louis Vuitton, Dior and Hennessy."
