An-Ex Analytical Services

An-Ex is an independent contract research and development laboratory that offers a range of specialist skin services to the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, chemical and agrochemical industries. The company was founded in 1988 by two academics who noted that industrialists were generally reluctant to place contract work within university departments. Concerns were expressed with regard to a wide range of potentially-damaging factors such as: lack of security of facilities and information, undefined protocols, under-trained staff, incomplete paper trail, lack of consistency, slow response time and poor presentation and explanation of experimental results.
