B&C has released Ganother (INCI: Glycerin (and) Water (Aqua) (and) Ganoderma Lucidum (Mushroom) Mycelium Ferment Filtrate) as a way to address alopecia.

The Ganoderma lucidum mushroom that is in Ganother has a high amount of polysaccharides and triterpenes, specifically ganoderic acids. With these acids, Ganother is able to stimulate the protein synthesis in human hair dermal papilla fibroblasts and inhibit the 5α–reductase to support androgenic alopecia.

The ingredient is a brown semi-viscous liquid that has a recommended usage of <2% when formulating.
