Conrad Austin Plimpton, a longtime investor, entrepreneur and respected figure in the global personal care and ingredients industry, passed away April 19, 2026, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 83.

Known for his boundless curiosity, deep commitment to family and enduring entrepreneurial spirit, Plimpton built a career spanning decades of innovation, from founding Plimpton & Company to leading and investing in businesses such as Inolex, Exide Electronics and Troy Corporation. He remained actively engaged well into later life, supporting ventures in science, sustainability and health.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Grace Ann, four children, a large extended family and a wide network of colleagues and friends who felt the impact of his generosity and vision.
