La Roche-Posay enlisted the help of Albéa for the creation of a partially cardboard-based tube for the former’s Anthelios moisturizing sunscreen body lotion.

According to Albéa, the 200 ml pack reduced the use of plastic by 45% when compared to existing packaging solutions. The cardboard utilized in the packaging is FSC-certified.

Barbara de Saint-Aubin, managing director of Albéa Tubes Europe, said, "We have adapted our manufacturing process to incorporate this new technology, replacing part of the plastic in the tube with cardboard. This is a first.”
