Frowein has been with dsm-firmenich in various global and international leadership positions for almost 25 years. He joined the Perfumery team of Firmenich in 1999, starting in Fine Fragrance Marketing in New York before moving to Body Care Fragrance Evaluation in Geneva a year later. Since 2001, he has successfully held various commercial leadership positions in Consumer Fragrances, from the U.S. to Europe, to Asia and North Africa and the Middle East. Since 2019, he has led global Consumer Fragrances, overseeing all commercial aspects, fragrance creation and development, marketing, and consumer research.

Emmanuel Butstraen, president of Perfumery & Beauty, states, "Felix is a highly valued person, a talented leader and has played a significant role in shaping the success of our company. I would like to thank him for his outstanding leadership under which Consumer Fragrances delivered excellent results. He has a great track record in his assignments, a true growth mindset, a strong drive for digital transformation. While we regret his departure, we wish him all the very best for his future."

Frowein shares, “It was an enormous privilege to work at dsm-firmenich for so many years and lead global Consumer Fragrances into a new era. I am truly proud that together with our customers and an outstanding team, we accelerated innovation and delivered great results. Our buy-and-build strategy to win with small to mid-size customers while pioneering digital platforms is transforming the industry. Now is the right time for me to take the next step and seize new opportunities. I would like to express my gratitude to dsm-firmenich and wish everyone the very best for a successful future.”

dsm-firmenich will have two leadership roles in the future to cover Frowein’s responsibilities: one accountable for Global Consumer Brands customers and another for Regional Consumer Brands customers.

Jun Saplad has been tapped as the new leader for Regional Consumer Brands. Saplad has been SVP of Taste Asia and Region president of Asia Pacific since 2019, and has deep knowledge of how to run local and regional businesses. He previously held the role of president of Scent & Care Asia Pacific, Africa, Middle East & Turkey at Symrise. Saplad will lead the Regional Consumer Brands Global P&L Unit and remain based out of Singapore. The transitions will start immediately.

dsm-firmenich plans to announce the company's new leader for Global Consumer Brands, by mid-March.
