Joylux Intimate Care Products Target Mid-life Women

While women can spend hundreds of dollars a year on anti-aging beauty products, these creams and body washes are not formulated for application to the delicate vulvar tissue. Such products, many with high pH values, can cause dryness, irritation and discomfort. Joylux therefore is helping women to care for this most delicate of tissues.

Joylux has introduced of HER Intimate Care with formulating help by leading OB/GYN Sarah De la Torre, M.D.. The products are "clean" and have pH levels that are balanced to help cleanse, hydrate, nourish and refresh a woman’s entire body without compromising her intimate areas.

“As an Ob/GYN, I used to tell my patients to just wash with water, as soap can be drying and irritating. However, my patients asked for more since feeling fresh has a big impact on confidence,” says De la Torre. “I searched for products to recommend but quickly discovered that I couldn’t find products made with clean ingredients appropriate for intimate tissue—that’s what led me to create the HER Intimate Care line. HER Intimate Care essentials include a gentle body wash (cleansHER), an intense hydrating serum (revitalizHER) and a deodorizing mist (refresHER) that are efficacious, pH-balanced at 4.5 to 5, and are “clean”—i.e., free of parabens, propylene glycol, mineral oils, phthalates, petrochemicals, PEG and synthetic fragrance, dyes and alcohol. They also have not been animal tested.

As an example, the refresher deodorizing mist contains the following ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract (Aloe Vera), Glycerin (Vegetable), Leuconostoc-Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Saccharomyces Ferment, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Gum, Mandarin Orange Peel Oil, Lactic Acid, Arginine, Phytic Acid.
