Valvance Touch 210 (INCI: Silica) is a nude skin enhancer that offers anti-shine effects with a silky touch and lightweight feel.

The ingredient is a powder of porous, spherical, pure silica microbeads that act as sensory modifiers and help give that “nude” feeling. According to the company, it has a strong absorption capacity for oil and water, significantly reducing residual oiliness, greasiness and stickiness of formulations and leaving a matte finish. It’s reportedly best suited for mineral formulations.

The silica acts as a sunscreen agent and adds comfort and cosmetic purpose to SPF formulations. It also allows the formulation of robust sunscreens, showing no negative influence on the SPF.
