A trio of recent reports outlines beauty's top influencers and brands across categories and social media platforms, each leveraging a different set of metrics to uncover insights for marketing and social teams.

Top Influencers & Brands on TikTok

Cosmetify's recent report measured brands and influencers against the number of TIkTok followers, videos and hashtag views they generated in 2023.

The top three color cosmetic brands in this sector were:

  1. Huda Beauty 
  2. Rare Beauty
  3. Florence By Mills

Each brand is fronted by a notable celebrity, it should be noted.

By the same metrics, the top TikTok skin care brands were:

  1. The Ordinary
  2. CeraVe
  3. Nivea 

TikTok's top influencers were:

  1. Kylie Jenner
  2. James Charles
  3. Abby Roberts 

Fastest-growing Beauty Influencers

In assessing the fastest-growing beauty influencers, Dash Hudson's (admittedly non-exhaustive) ranking focused on those with the most rabid new follower growth rates between January 1, 2023 and September 1, 2023 (see report for methodology).

These influencers span categories including color cosmetics, skin care, hair care, fragrance and nail care.

Based on the analysis, the top 20 fastest-growing influencers are:

Accoring to the firm, the top color cosmetic influencers are:

  2. Selena Gomez
  3. Jennifer Lopez
  4. Ariana Grande
  5. Sol Pena 

Top skin care influencers include:

  1. Hailey Rhode Baldwin Bieber
  2. Kim Kardashian
  3. Dr. Muneeb Shah
  4. Dr. Dustin Portela 
  5. Dr. Angelo Landriscina 

Notably, many on the top performers list are dermatologists.

The top hair care influencers are:
