Cosphatec introduced a new sustainable emulsifier to its lineup: Cosphaderm SF-D (INCI: Lecithin).

Derived from sunflower, the ingredient fits into the rising popularity of florals in personal care. For this iteration of the trend, the powdered ingredient can be used to stabilize emulsions in skin and hair care products; it also provides antistatic and conditioning properties.

According to the company, the ingredient has a bright quality and is non-allergenic (compared to soy lecithin). The ingredient is produced via ecologically friendly processes, with no genetic modifications made to the raw material. Additionally, the emulsifier is Ecocert and Cosmos-compliant.
