Everwell Health and its subsidiary, Nutrition21, have announced the acquisition of the Celadrin brand, an ingredient known for its benefits in joint health, mobility, and skin care.

Celadrin, a patented blend of cetylated and esterified fatty acids, has shown promising applications in skin care. Studies suggest Celadrin supports a healthy inflammatory response and helps stabilize cell membranes, actions that may contribute to its ability to visibly reduce signs of skin aging. Already incorporated into various topical cosmetic formulations, such as facial creams, Celadrin is available in both powdered and oil formats, making it versatile for a range of skin care products.

“Skin care applications for Celadrin are an exciting area of growth,” said Steve Rosenman, CEO of Everwell Health. “The same anti-inflammatory properties that make it effective for joint health may also play a key role in improving skin appearance, helping consumers maintain a youthful, healthy glow.”

Celadrin has been clinically studied for its topical effects on skin aging, with positive results in promoting skin appearance and addressing common signs of aging. This makes it a valuable ingredient for brands looking to develop innovative skin care products. End-products formulated with Celadrin could enable claims such as “helps reduce visible signs of aging” and “promotes a healthy, youthful appearance.”

Jordan Miller, vice president of marketing at Everwell Health, highlighted the growing consumer interest in skin care solutions: “50% of consumers are actively seeking products that visibly reduce the signs of aging. This demand creates immense potential for Celadrin's expanded use in skin care."

The acquisition also positions Everwell Health to further invest in scientific research and marketing initiatives to support Celadrin’s applications. With its established presence in more than a dozen countries and use across human, pet, and cosmetic markets, Celadrin is poised for continued growth and innovation under Everwell Health’s leadership.

As the demand for skin care products targeting healthy aging continues to rise, Celadrin offers a compelling solution for consumers seeking to maintain a youthful appearance through science-backed formulations.
