Caldic North America, an ingredient supplier with R&D service capabilities for beauty and personal care, recently appointed Darren Gilbert as commercial director, personal care NA. He was selected to formulate and implement the business strategy for Caldic's personal care business unit. His role will include establishing product lines, interacting with vendors, building a sales team and guiding the team to establish a new personal care applications lab in North America.
His previous role was director of business development at Covvalent, a chemical manufacturing lab based in India. Gilbert holds a BS in chemical engineering from Northwestern University, and an MBA in marketing, finance and economics from the same institution.
He has a background in sales, marketing, and business development within the personal care industry. With more than 20 years of experience, Gilbert has held various leadership roles, including commercial director, director of business development and national sales manager.
Gilbert’s experience spans different regions, including North America, South America, Europe and Asia, showcasing his ability to work in diverse markets.
