Summer beauty sales grew by 240% across the U.S., according to the latest statistics from Capacity, a third-party logistics provider specializing in prestige beauty brands. The data was based on DTC figures among 50 brands serviced by the company.
Two states saw significant growth, with beauty sales to Delaware increasing by 12.5%, and Oregon by 3.6%.
Furthermore, sales in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Washington D.C., increased by more than 2% year over year, with New York experiencing a 2.5% increase.
The sales data is based on more than 7 million shipments of eye, skin, lip, cheek, and hair care beauty products from more than 50 prestige beauty brands across the U.S.
The following beauty categories saw growth percentages based on sales data from the summer of 2023 compared to the summer of 2024:
- Cosmetics: 162%
- Eye: 132%
- Hair: 98%
- Lip: 181%
- Skin care: 166%
