On Saturday, August 28, 2021, during Cosmoprof North America Las Vegas, The Beyond Project and the Sam Villa company will partner to provide makeovers and styling tutorials to the women of the Salvation Army's Seeds of Hope, whose mantra is "saving, empowering, educating and restoring dreams to lives shattered by human trafficking."

The Beyond Project connects industry professionals to nonprofit agencies to provide mobile beauty and wellness services to those most in need.

"Hairdressers often engage with women coming out of difficult circumstances. The Beyond Project creates community volunteer efforts to address these needs sensitively and compassionately," explains Beth Carson, cofounder and president of Sam Villa. "We share the same values and commitment and are proud to utilize our voice and community to amplify the impact hairdressers make on people's lives, especially women recovering from abuse."

Sam Villa will donate blowdryers, flat irons and curling irons to the women. Volunteer stylists will refresh haircuts, provide makeovers and give styling tutorials using the donated tools so women can re-create the looks on their own for upcoming job interviews, etc.

The event will take place August 28, 2021, from 12pm-3pm PST at the Salvation Army located on 35 W. Owens Avenue in Las Vegas, zip code 89101.

Stylists interested in volunteering their time and talent alongside Sam Villa, Ira Pope Sage and Marquetta Breslin can apply.
