Wheaton, a manufacturer of glass packaging for the perfumery and cosmetics industries, will participate in PCD at Paris Packaging Week, one of the most prominent international trade fairs dedicated to packaging for perfumes, cosmetics, and personal care. This marks Wheaton’s third consecutive appearance at the event, where the company will emphasize its expertise in creating sophisticated, sustainable glass packaging solutions.
Focus on Sustainability and Innovation
A key highlight of Wheaton’s presentation will be its Ecoglass Line, an innovative approach to ecodesign. This line underscores the sustainable potential of glass packaging by promoting the principles of the circular economy. It is specifically engineered to minimize the consumption of raw materials extracted from nature, aligning with the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility.
By showcasing its advanced capabilities in sustainable packaging design, Wheaton continues to demonstrate leadership in delivering high-quality, eco-conscious solutions for the beauty and personal care sectors.
Bottles
Wheaton also recently added a new 200 ml bottle, designed from a proposal for refill, promoting the circular economy. According to the company, the bottle is lightweight, with about 20% less glassy mass than traditional bottles, resulting in a significant reduction in energy consumption, as well as a reduction of about 15% in CO2 emissions.
The screw termination allows the refilling of the perfume, encouraging the conscious use of the packaging, in addition to facilitating the recycling process, uniting innovation and environmental responsibility.
Wheaton also presents the collection of standard bottles, which has three new additions, keeping the same format in different size options. With a modern design and thick bottom, these bottles are available in the capacities of 100 ml, 50 ml and 30 ml, following the international concepts of perfumery.
Decoration
As for the innovations in decoration, the company will present the Hot Stamping tapes. The technique consists of a decoration process through a thermal tape, which produces recordings in various colors, now with many options of differentiated effects.
Another technology that will be exhibited at the fair is the Crystal Effect Painting, obtained by applying a special varnish that creates a particular effect around the painting, giving each bottle a unique aesthetic. This process values the sophistication of glass packaging, providing not only a visually captivating appearance, but also a tactile feel.
Still on Wheaton's decoration technologies, the Marble Effect Painting stands out, a technique that gives the bottles a sense of nobility, sophistication, beauty and depth. Alluding to natural stones, the painting gives a technological and modern aesthetic, capable of connecting the consumer with nature and giving each piece a different result.
