Berlin Packaging has strengthened its position as a global packaging powerhouse through the acquisitions of U.S.-based O.Berk Company and U.K.-based BlueSky, extending its reach across key beauty, personal care, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, home care and beverage markets. The back-to-back deals add more than a century of packaging expertise through O.Berk's extensive North American network and BlueSky's strong presence among small and mid-sized U.K. brands.

The acquisitions expand Berlin Packaging's portfolio of glass, plastic and metal packaging solutions while adding specialized capabilities in closures, dispensing systems, decoration, printing, custom tooling, warehousing and regulatory support. O.Berk also brings its BottleStore.com e-commerce platform, enhancing Berlin's ability to serve entrepreneurs and emerging brands.

For the packaging industry, the deals underscore ongoing consolidation as suppliers seek greater scale, sourcing power and value-added capabilities amid increasing customer demands for supply chain resilience, speed to market and sustainability. By integrating O.Berk's North American footprint and BlueSky's U.K. customer base, Berlin Packaging is further positioning itself as a one-stop global partner capable of serving brands from startup through multinational scale. The acquisitions also deepen Berlin's exposure to high-growth beauty and wellness categories, where demand for innovative packaging formats, decoration services and turnkey solutions continues to rise.

"The acquisition of BlueSky represents a strategic step in expanding our presence and capabilities in the U.K. market," said Marcel Schröder, president of Berlin Packaging EMEA. "BlueSky brings deep cross-sector expertise and a complementary portfolio of materials and packaging solutions that enhance our existing offering. Its strong customer-centric approach and value-added services align closely with Berlin Packaging's business model. We are thrilled to team up with the professionals at BlueSky to serve our customers, and we are confident this new chapter will allow us to deliver even more comprehensive solutions to our collective customers while supporting their continued growth."

"Joining Berlin Packaging marks an exciting new chapter for both our team and, most importantly, our customers," said Russell Wade, managing director of BlueSky. "By combining our highly responsive, consultative service with Berlin's global scale, sourcing strength, and innovation capabilities, we will be able to offer our customers a broader range of packaging solutions, enhanced supply chain resilience, and even greater support as they grow."

"We are excited to welcome O.Berk to Berlin Packaging. Like Berlin, O.Berk has a long history of supporting customers with packaging products and value-added services," said Rick Brandt, CEO of Berlin Packaging Americas. "This combination expands our industry-leading capabilities and strengthens our expertise in growing beauty, personal care, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical markets."

"We are proud to join forces with Berlin Packaging and excited for the opportunities this partnership creates," said Marc Gaelen, president and CEO of O.Berk Company. "Berlin's global supply chain, digital capabilities, sustainability expertise, logistics platform, and Studio One Eleven design services will enhance the solutions available to our customers and create new opportunities for our employees and suppliers."

"Family-owned businesses like O.Berk bring deep industry expertise, entrepreneurial spirit, and deep relationships with stakeholders," said Bill Hayes, global CEO and president of Berlin Packaging. "We are excited to bring our organizations together and build on that momentum for years to come."
