The Maybelline New York X Ashley Longshore Collection

Maybelline New York has partnered with mixed-media artist Ashley Longshore for a limited-edition collection of the makeup brand's SuperStay Matte Ink.

According to Maybelline New York, Longshore's designs were reimagined for the packaging of six SuperStay Matte Ink shades: Loyalist, Believer, Pioneer, Dreamer, Visionary and Artist. 

Longshore's patterns were "selected to reflect the statement-making shades of the collection, and challenge women to empower themselves through self-expression."

Longshore said of her collaboration with the makeup brand, "Recreating my designs for the packaging of Maybelline New York’s SuperStay Matte Ink was an incredible opportunity to work with a new medium—my love of color is always what really makes my artwork 'pop' and the Maybelline shades selected really emphasize this. I have always found synergies between makeup and art as tools to express myself, and I hope this collection empowers others to do the same."
