Mary T. Kons has joined Hallstar as president of its Beauty & Personal Care division. Prior to joining Hallstar, Kons worked for more than 14 years at Evonik Corporation in commercial roles, most recently serving as vice president.

Kons earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Marquette University and a master of business administration from DePaul University. She will be based at the Hallstar Beauty headquarters in Darien, Illinois.

Carmen Masciantonio, Hallstar’s chief operations officer and industrial solutions president, says, “The addition of Mary to our senior leadership team reflects Hallstar Beauty’s brand growth and accelerated innovation activities. Her depth of experience in the cosmetic chemistry business has prepared her to lead a diverse operation like ours, and her personal commitment to creating a people-focused, value-driven culture matches Hallstar’s approach perfectly.”

Masciantonio adds, “Mary is coming aboard at the outset of Hallstar’s integration of Sytheon, which we acquired at the end of October 2024. She has a valuable perspective on working with global colleagues on strategies for rapid product portfolio expansion, having played a key role in the integration of several Evonik acquisitions.”
