A product’s eco footprint has become just important as the personal benefits it delivers. Sustainability and environmentalism are at the forefront of development in DSM and Glowing Chameleon's new line of sun care formulas.

DSM Nutritional Products has released a collection of three environmentally conscious sun care product prototypes under the name Glowing Chameleon. The one serum-based and two cream-based formulas have been developed with sustainability in mind, from creating the formula to designing the packaging.

In a recent press release, DSM outlined its motivation behind the products:

"A product’s eco footprint has become just important as the personal benefits it delivers. In a recent survey, 80% of respondents claimed they would buy eco-friendly products because they care about the environment. Formulating sun protection with UV filters that have a minimal environmental impact is one way to meet the needs of eco-conscious consumers, but without sustainable packaging the purpose of a sustainable product is moot."

Along with the reassurance of the lowest eco-impact as possible, these formulations combine high levels of UV protection with user-friendly textures.
