Ingestible beauty has been taking off this year as consumers reach for less complex daily routines without compromising their beauty & wellness needs.
Drink mix brand H2Glow officially launched on September 15 with their Beauty Hydration Electrolyte Mix, featuring 17 active ingredients, combining essential electrolytes with collagen-building amino acids.
One of the founders of the science-led beauty hydration brand, Brian Venuti, gives us a closer look into the new launch.
When considering the inspiration behind H2Glow, Venuti and his cofounder Ryan Siegel started with the idea to bring hydration to the forefront
"The original insight was simple: hydrated skin performs better. Yet when we looked across the hydration category, most products were built around exercise, sport and electrolyte replacement, while ingestible beauty products often treated hydration as an afterthought. We saw an opportunity to bring those two worlds together," says Venuti
"We wanted to create a product that could replace your daily electrolyte while also delivering meaningful, science-backed ingredients specifically selected to support skin hydration and appearance. That became H2Glow: hydration built for beauty." Venuti adds.
As the conversation of longevity brings attention to the ingestibles category, H2Glow's focus on hydration fits the bill, but also boasts a few other benefits.
Venuit explains how this product easily fits the average consumer's skincare regimen.
"We think of H2Glow as Step 0 in your daily skincare routine. It isn't meant to replace your cleanser, serum, moisturizer or SPF. It's foundational—it supports skin hydration from within while complementing whatever topical routine already works for you," says Venuti.
The launch simplifies the consumer's regimen and stops the need to rethink or add another complicated step.
"You replace the electrolyte or hydration drink you may already be using with one daily stick that combines balanced electrolytes with skin-supporting ingredients like hyaluronic acid, phytoceramides, antioxidants and collagen-building amino acids." Venuit adds.
For the brand, the opportunity is to make ingestible beauty feel less like another supplement you have to remember and more like hydration you're already doing—just built to do more.
