Givaudan Active Beauty has released new efficacy data expanding the performance claims of its hyaluronic acid portfolio, highlighting benefits for both skin and hair care applications.

The company reports that PrimalHyal Hydra[+] can protect the hair fiber even in rinse-off formats due to strong affinity with the hair surface, helping improve elasticity, softness and cuticle smoothness while increasing resistance to environmental stressors such as UV exposure.

New studies also show that ResistHyal adapts its behavior based on hair condition, delivering surface-level smoothing on healthy strands while targeting deeper repair in damaged fibers to reduce frizz and improve cohesion after aggressive treatments.

On the skin side, PrimalHyal Ultrafiller demonstrated hydration benefits lasting up to 24 hours after a single application, alongside support for extracellular matrix integrity tied to anti-aging performance.

The company also shared new findings for Spherulite HA Ultimate, a delivery system built on a 100% natural-origin chassis that enables deeper and more even penetration of actives in the skin.

According to the company, the data reinforce how molecular design, biotechnology-driven production and advanced delivery systems can extend hyaluronic acid’s functionality well beyond traditional hydration in next-generation skin and hair care formulations.
