Grocer Expands Budget Skin Care Line Availability

Select assortment discount grocer Aldi is introducing the Lacura cosmetic collection in its stores in 30 U.S. states. Developed by German skin care specialists, Lacura cosmetics, according to the retailer's press release, are made with the same ingredients found in expensive labels. Available in a variety of shades, the products in the line retail for $1.99 to $3.99.

"Today's woman is looking for an alternative to high-priced cosmetics, without surrendering quality," said Joan Kavanaugh, president of corporate purchasing, Aldi. "We are pleased to introduce these exclusive products to the marketplace, a natural progression following the successful launch of the Lacura skin care line in the U.S."

Lacura products are formulated with natural ingredients—including candelilla wax, jojoba wax, avocado oil, seed oil, lecithin and vitamin E.
