Ulta Beauty CMO Michelle Crossan-Matos is departing the company, according to a LinkedIn post from the executive.

The exec noted, "As many of you know, coming back home to beauty was special for me. I am humbled and feel privileged that I was able to work with the most amazing thought leaders, brand partners and founders so we could harness the power of beauty as a force for good."

She added, "As I look to the future, I am excited to embark on my next chapter, and joy forward to a new path of possibilities, which I will share soon. Wishing my Ulta Beauty family all the best and much success for the future."

The news comes just weeks after Ulta Beauty's CEO, Dave Kimbell, retired after 11 years with the company, succeeded by Kecia Steelman, Ulta's president and chief operating officer, who also joined the board of directors.

Steelman, who has been with the company for more than 10 years, now holds the role of president and CEO.

Kimbell, who is also stepping down from the company’s board of directors, will serve as an adviser to the company through June 28, 2025.
