The consensus for Spring-Summer 2023 is: do what makes you feel happy, secure and included. The color stories that have emerged reinforce these notions, as shown in a trio of Sandream Specialties' trend stories presented by the company's head of R&D, Kimberly Kern.

The Spring-Summer 2023 color palette is positive, cheerful and all-encompassing. Yellows and oranges are filled with glimmers of energy and hopefulness, while reds shift to the cooler blue side in comparison to last season.

Pinks are universal, emitting an almost “blushing nude” cast, which is wearable amongst all skin tones. Purples are soothing and lean towards a pinker note with a range of intensity from lighter lavender to deeper lilac.

Blues are picture perfect, like a cloudless summer day. The shade is happy and gratifying for the spirit. Greens are in the same vein, encouraging good moods, zest of life and creativity, especially in the nail category.

As with the red tones, browns also shift cooler, with an eggplant color influence. The range of brown shades this season is indicative of what we see in natural surroundings as well as in human anatomy.

Stripped down and earthy hues are at the forefront. Grays are more transparent and possess hints of yellow while offering rays of metallic shimmer to semi-transparent formulations.
