The Best Value Chain Engagement Award acknowledges excellence in engaging trading partners in sustainability initiatives and honors examples of driving internal engagement to roll out global sustainable procurement programs.

Through L'Occitane's #NotJustSuppliers program, the company conducted a CSR risk mapping exercise involving its 1,500 global suppliers to help the company monitor CSR performance for strategic and critical suppliers.

The Outstanding Program Leadership Award is based on sustainable procurement program results and demonstrated excellence in program strategy and execution. The outstanding program leadership under the direction of Katia Michieletto, L'Occitane's head of responsible purchasing, was recognized.

Michieletto commented on the Outstanding Program Leadership Award, "I am deeply honored to receive this prestigious award. It is thanks to the collaborative support of EcoVadis and our leadership team, working closely with our suppliers and purchasing teams around the world, that we are able to continuously improve sustainability within our supply chain."

Elvire Regnier-Lussier, L'Occitane chief procurement officer, commented on the Best Value Chain Engagement Award, "Sustainability has always been at the heart of the L'Occitane business strategy. This award reflects the public’s recognition of our strategy in which we consider our suppliers to be true business partners with whom we can build environment-friendly solutions that delight our customers."

Pierre-François Thaler, co-CEO, EcoVadis said, "Our 2021 winners have gone big on their commitments to see actionable business value from sustainability by working to spark real change where it matters most- across the supply chain."
