Beauty and Grooming Help P&G Increase 2019 Sales

The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) has released its financial results for fourth quarter and fiscal year 2019.

During fiscal year 2019, P&G reported net sales of $67.7 billion, an increase of 1% over fiscal year 2018. Fourth quarter 2019 net sales reached $1.7 billion, an increase of 4% over Q4 2018. 

According to P&G, Q4 2019 beauty sales increased by 8% over Q4 2018. The grooming segment increased Q4 sales by 4%.

David Taylor, chairman, president and CEO, stated, "We met or exceeded each of our going-in core targets for sales, profit and cash in fiscal 2019. We built sales, market share and profit margin momentum throughout the year, ending with our strongest quarter of organic sales growth in well over a decade. Looking ahead, we will continue to focus on superiority, productivity, constructive disruption and improving P&G’s organization and culture to deliver sustainable, balanced top-line and bottom-line growth along with strong cash generation in a challenging competitive and macroeconomic environment."
