A CBD survey from Europe displays that growth in consumer awareness will increase the number of new consumers.

In Europe, as of October 2019, 16% of individuals surveyed stated they had used CBD/CBD products, and most of those respondents reported they had first tried CBD within the last six months.

Current CBD use rates in Europe are comparatively low, but because of the increase in recent first-time users and consumer awareness, the number of new CBD consumers is expected to grow.

Forty-six percent of Europeans surveyed stated they had a positive perception of the cannabidiol. Because of remaining confusion surrounding the differences between CBD and THC, a collective 53% of those surveyed were unsure or thought CBD consumption gets the consumer high (25% believed it did produce a high and 28% were unsure).
