Interior and home product designer Barbara Barry celebrated the debut of her home fragrance collection at Bergdorf Goodman in New York City. The line features a pared-down style and elegance, geared to complement the ambience of a home.
Joined by Jim Gold, president and CEO, Bergdorf Goodman, Barry introduced the fragrances, available in a variety of formats and which represent a journey through a home environment. Living Room is a white floral blend, featuring orange blossom and mimosa; Dining Room offers top notes of tarragon, rosemary and lemon zest; Powder Room is a citrus blend with bergamot, lemon peel and Moroccan orange flower; and Bedroom soothes with lime, lemon, orange and vanilla.
Barry, signature watercolor sketches of whose furniture are featured on the packaging, believes fragrance plays a large part in bringing warmth and tranquility into the home. She said, “Scents draw us into a room and create a gentle background upon which our lives unfold.”
In addition to candles, Barry has paired her scents with ancillaries for each environment—including room spray, guest soaps and a linen spray. The collection is currently available at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.
