In an attempt to collect data on the current state of the beauty and personal care industry, especially the smaller, independent brands, ICMAD is asking industry professionals to take part in a short COVID-19 survey.
ICMAD released the following statement:
“This is an urgent request. We find ourselves in the midst of the most challenging of situations. Therefore, we are developing information to take to our elected officials in both Washington and the States.
Below you will find a short survey that we need you to complete. PLEASE!!!
The data we collect will help us make the point to our political representatives as to the potential dire straits in which this industry finds itself. We understand that some of the questions may be difficult to contemplate or answer. Still, we hope that you can move forward and complete the survey so we can develop an accurate representation of our current situation.
Please note that all responses are confidential and that one important use of the data will be to educate congress on the needs of our industry.
The recently passed Corona Virus Recovery Act included an overhaul of the FDA's authority over OTC Drugs. We are trying to avoid Congress including uninformed cosmetic legislation in the next recovery Bill that may negatively impact the industry without providing any consumer benefit.
All information will be presented in a consolidated form and not associated with any one company or person."
