De Monchy Aromatics has appointed Barney Wells as technical and analytical manager, strengthening its technical expertise, analytical capabilities and customer support across its flavor, fragrance and essential oils portfolio.
Wells brings experience spanning flavor creation, analytical perfumery, quality control and product development. His expertise includes evaluating natural raw materials and aroma chemicals using gas chromatography techniques (GC-FID and GC-MS) alongside sensory assessment to assess quality, consistency and authenticity.
In his new role, Wells will lead the company's technical function, focusing on technical and quality capabilities, customer troubleshooting and the use of analytical data and product knowledge across the business.
