Solésence is expanding its market-ready portfolio with two scalp care formulations that reflect growing opportunities for brands to combine skin health, sun protection and multifunctionality in hair care.

The company's new Revitalizing Scalp Serum and Scalp Screen Dry Shampoo SPF 45+ Sunscreen were both designed for white-label commercialization through its brand partners. The launches leverage Solésence's patented WHSPR and Kleair technology platforms to enable clinically supported claims while shortening product development timelines.

The Revitalizing Scalp Serum combines 5% niacinamide with the company's WHSPR delivery system for allantoin to support barrier repair, hydration, reduced erythema, sebum control and scalp soothing. Because allantoin is covered under the U.S. OTC skin protectant monograph, the technology also gives brands access to skin health and sensitive-skin claims within the scalp care category.

Meanwhile, Scalp Screen Dry Shampoo SPF 45+ Sunscreen combines mineral UV protection with oil absorption and scalp care benefits, illustrating the growing convergence of hair care and sun care. Powered by Solésence's Kleair zinc oxide platform, the formulation delivers broad-spectrum SPF 45+ protection while incorporating niacinamide, binchotan white charcoal and bamboo powder to absorb oil and help soothe the scalp. The product was also named a finalist for the 2026 Cosmopack Award for Best Formulation at Cosmoprof Las Vegas.

The launches underscore two accelerating trends for product developers: the emergence of the scalp as an extension of skin care, and growing demand for multifunctional formats that combine cosmetic, wellness and OTC positioning in a single product. For marketers, the concepts also offer new storytelling opportunities around barrier health, scalp longevity and daily UV protection—categories that have historically received far less consumer attention than facial skin care.
