From BASF Colors & Effects, Cloisonné Vibrant Raspberry (Pending INCI: Mica (and) Titanium Dioxide (and) Iron Oxides (and) Silica) is a bold, metallic-like magenta effect pigment that is claimed to be vegan, sustainably sourced and contains natural mica.

Cloisonné Vibrant Raspberry delivers a magenta color in a wide palette of hues without carmine or synthetic organic colorants, and it can be used in variety of cosmetic and personal care applications.

Based on evaluations under UV light exposure and aqueous system formulations, Cloisonné Vibrant Raspberry is light-stable, and is claimed to not fade, bleed or stain upon application. It also demonstrates stability in a majority of cosmetic formulation systems.

According to BASF, the ingredient is especially innovative due to its color space technology and functional benefits. It also supports formulators seeking to create vegan cosmetic ingredients.
