Colep has received gold and silver medal from EcoVadis, for best practices in corporate responsibility (CSR) and sustainability.
Five of the company’s manufacturing sites were assessed: two received Gold, placing the company in the top 5% of evaluated suppliers, while the three remaining sites received Silver (upper 30%). Colep first launched its sustainability report in 2018, outlining its five pillar approach: energy, waste, water, products and people.
EcoVadis’ independent analysts cover various CSR criteria as they relate to the company’s size, location and industry. They are evaluated in four areas—environment, labor practices & human rights, fair business practices and sustainable procurements.
“We will continue to devote our resources to CSR initiatives and good sustainability practices and commit to ongoing Sustainable development,” said Grant A. Coupland, sustainability director at Colep. “These results are demonstrative of Colep’s ambition to become the preferred Sustainability partner for its customers.”
