The Fragrance Foundation Awards honored the industry’s creative achievements of 2014 on Monday, June 16, 2014, at Lincoln Center in New York . Emmy awardiwinning comedian Dana Carvey hosted the event in an irreverent and humorous fashion, and Carine Roitfeld, editor in chief of CR Fashion Book, and model Coco Rocha served as co-chairs. On a musical note, Sony Music recording artist Judith Hill brought the house down with her rendition of “Hallelujah.”
In advance of the show, Jane Larkworthy, beauty director of W, served as the exclusive style correspondent for the Fragrance Foundation Awards and interviewed celebrity presenters and guests on the red carpet. The exclusive interviews will be webcasted on Fragrance.org.
Award presenters and attendees included Michael C. Hall, Chrissy Teigen, Hilary Rhoda, Sean Avery, Kellan Lutz, Leonard Lauder, Gwendoline Christie, Angie Harmon, Mary Alice Stephenson, Behati Prinsloo, Nacho Figueras, Leigh Lezark, Lily Donaldson, Max Irons, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Christian Siriano, Chelsea Leyland, Donna D’Cruz, Mario Sorrenti and Marisa Tomei.
“The Fragrance Foundation Awards is the most important night for the beauty industry, and we are in awe of this year’s creative achievements and accomplishments,” said Elizabeth Musmanno, president of the Fragrance Foundation. “We congratulate all the winners and finalists who continue to master the art of fragrance.”

Our Moment One Direction by Elizabeth Arden edged out other iconic celebrity competition and won the Consumer Choice Award in the Celebrity Category. The Estée Lauder Companies took home three awards—Modern Muse won Fragrance of the Year for Women’s Prestige; Tom Ford Rive D’Ambre won Men’s Luxury Fragrance of the Year; and Clinique Happy won the coveted Fragrance Hall of Fame honors. And the Passion Collection for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in collaboration with Nest Fragrances was recognized and awarded the Interior Scent Collection of the Year.
Leonard Lauder, chairman emeritus of The Estée Lauder Companies, presented the Hall of Fame Award to his friend and esteemed retail legend Michael Gould, former chairman and CEO of Bloomingdale’s. And Nicolas Mirzayantz, group president of fragrances for International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), presented the Perfumer of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award to IFF’s master perfumer Carlos Benaim. Benaim has created award-winning and best-selling fragrances such as Calvin Klein Euphoria, Calvin Klein Eternity for Men, Elizabeth Arden Red Door, Elizabeth Taylor White Diamonds, Giorgio Armani Armani Code for Women, and Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. The audience united with a standing ovation to applaud him.
