Adeka Europe GmbH has appointed Barentz Personal Care as its North American distributer of bioferments in personal care. Barentz will serve as Adeka’s channel to market for sustainable ingredients across the U.S. and Canada.

Adeka offers a range of sustainable actives produced from natural bio-fermentation, including:

Natural and non-GMO, sustainable, biodegradable and COSMOS-approved biofermented actives and

Retinaturel (INCI: Glycerin (and) Retinal) — natural retinal, which is metabolized into retinoic acid and eventually vitamin A. According to the company, it is natural, stable and has a safer profile than retinol and imparts anti-aging properties.
