According to media reports, former head of L'Occitane, Emmanuel Osti, is partnering with CVC Capital Partners to acquire The Body Shop from L'Oreal.

CVC previously took stakes in German beauty retailer Douglas and Indonesian personal care firm PT Softex.

The AI model will allow L'Oreal to 'reach extra performance and consumer satisfaction in every cosmetic category and every region of the world,' according to the companies.

The model itself will be trained on "a broad set of unlabeled data, capable of performing various tasks and applying information from one situation to another."
