Multi is a wellness and mental health-focused brand that has debuted a biomimetic hydrocolloid pimple patch called The Multi Patch 2.0 ($18 for a pack of 32 patches).
As mentioned above, the patches comprise hydrocolloid as well as Lactobacillus ferment and peppermint to provide antibacterial support. The ferment also supports the microbiome, while the extract soothes inflammation and imparts a gentle cooling sensation.
The brand's focus on well-being aligns with consumer concerns around acne. A recent Topicals report found that more than 70% of acne sufferers had received negative comments about their condition/appearance. And 40% had been suffering the condition for more than 10 years.
The brand's founders are A.J. Addae, founder of R&D formulation lab Sula Labs, and CEO Mal Tayag.
Multi is currently working with the Milk Agency incubator, which provides free "brand advisory services focused on early-stage female, non-binary and BIPOC-led startups."
